Questions
- Can I put a RealBid link in my Facebook Marketplace listing?
- Not in the listing itself: Marketplace, Craigslist, OfferUp and eBay remove or ban links in ads. You can reply with a link in every one of them, so your link goes in the reply to "is this still available?". Marketplace also allows a QR code as a photo, and RealBid prints one for you.
- Do buyers need an account?
- No. A buyer types a number, a name and an email. They confirm by email once, and can change or withdraw their offer from the same link until offers close.
- Can buyers see each other's offers?
- By default they see the top offer and how many there are, which is what makes them compete. You can switch a listing to sealed offers that only you see.
- What happens when I accept one?
- The winner gets an email, and so does everyone else. That's the promise the offer page makes to buyers: you'll hear back either way.
- What does it cost?
- Nothing. There's no fee on the sale and no account to upgrade.
Every buyer who opens your link sees how it works. Most people who sell on RealBid first bought from someone who did.
