About

One small machine, built by one person.

RealBid is made by Max, in the United States, as a side project that refused to stay small. It started as a way to rent an apartment to the best tenant instead of the fastest one. The same machine turned out to solve three other problems people search for every day: selling something to the best offer instead of the first reply, running a silent auction without an app, and dividing a parent's belongings among siblings without a fight.

Every door is the same thing underneath. You describe what is on offer and set a closing time. You get a link. Anyone can open it and bid with a name and an email. Every bid lands on one board, the clock decides, and everyone who took part is told the result. The link that runs it is emailed to you, so nobody needs an account on either side.

It is free. There are no fees on bids, no payment processing, and no plan to put a price on the things a family does once.

Questions, bugs, or a story about how it went: hello@realbid.app. Replies come from a person.
