Is RealBid really free for silent auctions?

Yes. Unlimited items and bidders, no per-event fee, no commission on what you raise, and no forced tip. It's the same engine the rest of RealBid runs on.

Do guests need to download an app or make an account?

No. They scan a QR code or open a link, and bid with a name and an email. Their phone remembers them, so the second bid is just a number.

What happens when someone is outbid?

They're emailed straight away with a link back to raise their bid. That is where most of the money in a silent auction comes from.

Can we take bids from people who aren't in the room?

Yes. The board is a link; share it with the whole school or club and anyone can bid until the close.

How do we collect payment?

The way you do now. Winners are emailed and told you'll be in touch; you get every winner's email and amount. RealBid doesn't take payments or a cut.

Can we extend or close early?

Both, from your board, any time. Closing early awards every item to its highest bid and emails everyone.
